Inspirations

Last night I went to dinner at my friend Lucija's parents' house. Her mother force fed us and I am dying today. The food was incredible! Dying. I've known Lucija since I was 12 and even though she lives in gorgeous Barcelona, it's awesome for us to catch up when she visits! It was an awesome night and it made me feel like being in middle school again in a good way.

It's Friday and I am psyched for the weekend. I will be starving myself after last night's food orgy but besides that I have tons of things to do. It's been a few hard weeks still working here. To paraphrase a comedian from Politically Incorrect from all those years ago "It's like Cheers, but nobody knows my name, and nobody's glad I came." Sigh. To cheer myself up this morning I made myself cry. Wait, I'll explain..

If you haven't heard of Susan Boyle then I would wonder how you're even reading this on the internet.. but remember her last year? Yeah, she rocks. I have watched that audition so many times and it never fails to turn me into a blubbering mess. It's inspiring. It's a win for the person who has been handed a crap hand at life. There she is at the beginning, being mocked and then the lady belts it. Goosebumps every.single.time. I also pair this viewing with the Paul Potts audition if I need a little extra cry cry. He was from a couple of years before the Boyle mania. Guy comes out, says he's a telephone salesman but wants to sing opera. And the man sings opera. Holy geez. Another Cinderella story. Bravo! You can't make this stuff up! Sniffle. Love. If you haven't seen these auditions go to Youtube and prepare to be touched.

So that was my morning and it made me feel better. Everyone deserves a Boyle moment sometime in their life. I'm so going to apply to Austria's Next Top Model.

Happy Friday!!
