Ah Spring! Warmer weather means later days, drinks on the balcony, leaves on the trees and blisters on my feet. I switch my winter clothes for summer ones and switch my boots for high heeled sandals which inevitably leads to blisters. Fun times.. But this year I'm trying to change all that.. I bought two pairs of wedges and I bought them a little bit bigger this time. Inside I've placed comfy insoles and a cheap version of "party feet" (gel pads for the balls of your feet) underneath the insoles. Oh wow.. Walkin on pillows.. I'm a heel girl and I since we'll be walking the Strip in Vegas, I figured these babies need to be comfortable.
I think Dr. Scholl's sell Party Feet but I found them at Müller from Essence for 2,95. Awesome. I totally recommend these! I'm pretty much packed and as promised to the Husband, I packed lightly.. More space for shopping! My list is pretty short: Advil, jeans, Wet and Wild make up, a small baby, a Hooters top, flip flops and velour tracksuits. I'm all class.
The Husband is photocopying our wedding certificate today- we be getting married again because we're dorky that way. It will be our third wedding.. There's something fun about getting married to the same person over and over again.. I'm like Liz Taylor, but poor and married to the same person. A little bit of romance is important in any relationship and it shouldn't just come from the guy. Seriously. I once dressed as a Hooters girl and served chicken wings and beer for the Husband. Another time, I put him on a treasure hunt around Vienna- he had to bar hop and got beer glasses that I had bought before. There was also the James Bond night.. It's easy to say life gets in the way but it's important to show the person you're with that they are important to you.. Even if it means just shaving your pits and serving him a beer when he gets home once in a while.. Beer + unhairy wife = happy husband.. But make sure he knows what you want too.. When we were dating I would send him a link to De Boers with the link where his annual salary goes in and they suggest engagement rings.. I'm subtle that way...
Happy Wednesday!
