A Passion for Fashion

My brother got into law school! Awesome. He'll be a lawyer, my sister and I married Catholic engineers, we couldn't be anymore Jewish! Wow! My sister has her MBA, my brother will have a law degree, and I like pink. Meh. Two out a three ain't bad. Congrats Dev! Way to go!

In other news, I've been busy checking out other people. Spring brings the crazy and there's nothing better than to sit at a cafe and people watch. One thing I am seeing a lot of are white pants/jeans. Ain't nothing wrong with them in theory. Really. But here are a couple of pointers when considering the ultimate in unchild friendly wear.
- Fit. White is unforgiving. Make sure they fit you. Please. You should not suffocate. Ever.
- Material. White jeans will not be see through. This is a good thing. Cotton white pants can be. Please wear nude undies with them. Nude or anything matching your skin tone (in the winter I'm so pale, blue is mah tone) is the best investment in terms of lingerie. Flowy white pants dredge up romantic thoughts of Arabic nights and look awesome with wedges or flipflops, loose tops or fitted tees. I like these pants when I drink white wine, not red.

Another thing I've been noticing a lot of is the Snookie look (Jersey Shore- awesome tv show). Overdone self tanner, straight straight hair, and insane amounts of make up. I'm gonna say it's just the district I live in but I have a sneaking suspicion this is turning into a pandemic. Nothing wrong with having a bit of colour, or even a great tan, but when you start resembling a tan leather sofa and your last name is O'Reilly, you might have a problem. Google: Valentino (brilliant designer though) and use that as a reference of what not to do. Apropos Jersey Shore, I'm planning a theme party for this summer- around June. I'm stoked and I've already come up with decoration ideas. Stay tuned for an event so awesome you'll fist pump in excitement!

Happy Tuesday!
