A week and one day until Paris! I'm going to sneak my mini laptop with me (don't tell the Husband) so that I can write about the trip.. After owning this tiny laptop for a year I just found out it has wireless. Doh. I hope it will be warm enough to sit outside at a cafe and pout in a beret.
My Sex and the City The Movie book arrived yesterday. I am stoked. I flipped through it last night and when the Husband came home he took it from me. We then spent an hour going through each page while I told him the story. His favorite was the first proposal from Big. And he liked the Christian Dior wedding dress because it was wierd. And he thought the library was pretty awesome. Oh, he doesn't like peep toe shoes. It was a bonding moment. It ended when I put on a channel that was showing a documentary about XXL machines. I fell asleep to the sounds of the Husband:
"1000 cubic meters! Wahnsinn! How?! Wow! Look at that! That's a piston? That's huge! Look at that! Look at that pipe! Wow! How?! Wow!"
Ladies, best distraction method eva. No more sudden headaches!
So anyway, today's Friday, tomorrow's the Baby Shower. This means Tova goes grocery shopping, meets the Husband for a drink at our local and then it's apartment scrub down. Holla.
I didn't have time to think of a recipe so I thought I would quickly talk about a home remedy for cold sores I recently read about.. I get cold sores in the winter, when I'm stressed, when I get too much sun, when I'm getting sick. They suck. They really really suck. But here's an interesting thing I will try next time I get that tingling sensation... Fresh ginger. Apparently this stuff's da bomb. You slice off a piece and stick it to the place that is the breeding ground for cold sores. Keep it there for about 5 minutes. It should do the trick. They recommend buying a chunk of ginger, slicing it up, and keeping it in the freezer for emergencies. If this works, I'm buying a ginger farm. Awesome. Please write in the comments if you have a personal home remedy for cold sores you swear by. I'm willing to try anything once, except for Crocs.
Happy Friday!
