Party Planning

Today's a new day. I didn't sleep very much due to obvious reasons. The more I think about it the more I realize that now is the time to do something different. But enough about that- Today is the Baby Shower!

At 3:30 I woke up and watched the Canada vs. Slovakia game. Argh, the last period was a nail biter. And Vince Vaughn was there! I like Vince Vaughn.. I kind of always imagine him as the best bud of a husband. And the wife can't stand Vince because he always shows up unannounced and gets into stupid situations and he keeps sleeping with the wife's friends. She asks her husband to tell Vince to knock it off and nothing happens. Then Vince sleeps with her sister and she takes it upon herself to talk to him. She meets with him and tells him to stop and then he gazes up at her with a soulful look and whispers "I really just want you.". The wife doesn't know what to do. She can't lie to herself, she's flattered. But no, she loves her husband. She mentally prepares to let Vince down gently and just as he is about to speak he breaks into a smile "Ha! I was just messing with you. You're an uptight witch!" and he proceeds to laugh and laugh. Then Vince marries a stripper. Yeah. That's our Vince.

I left the cozy confines of my bed around 6:00 and have been getting things ready. I've just finished the blinis and am letting some dough rise. In a few minutes I will start on the cupcakes. I also have to make a paper chain soon and to put out plates and cutlery. Six and a half hours to go! The pressure!
