It's Fasching. No, not fascists.. Fasching. This is the Germanic equivalent of Carnival or Mardi Gras. Less boob, more winter coats. People wear costumes. I didn't. But judging by my outfit I kind of look like a slutty nun. Yay. Nothing fits. At work they are giving away free krapfen. Krapfen are marmelade stuffed donuts and I no like. Ugh. Give me Timmy's Timbits any time. I'm wierd.
We watched the Olympic skiing last night and it is safe to say the Austrians are not amused. But it is Fasching guys! Cheer up.. I'm back on the cross trainer and I'm watching reruns of SATC. I forgot how much I adore this show. It's already a classic. I'm jumping around episodes and I forgot how much I disliked certain boyfriends of the ladies. Ugh.
Here's a little quick and easy recipe for mini cheesecakes. For all you cheesecake nazis out there, I know that this is not a real recipe but it is an easy way to fill those cheesecake cravings when you're feeling a little like Rose, Blanche, Sophia and Dorothy.
Easy Peasy Cheesecake Minis:
1 tub Philadelphia
3 tbsp sour cream
2 eggs
Sugar or sweetener
Dash vanilla
Half a cup of (frozen) berries (raspberries, strawbeeries, blueberries, whatevaberries)
Dash of lemon juice
Preheat the oven to about 190. Mix together all the ingredients with a mixer. Sweeten to taste. Pour into muffin tin (muffin cups should be there too). Bake until solid 20-30 minutes. Cool in the fridge. You're done. You're living in Florida. They aren't so pretty to look at but they are good. Save them for private late night eating when the Husband is asleep.
One more sleep til Lent.. I think...
