Projects in the Works

So, I have that black ball dress in the closet that I made and I'm pretty sure I won't be wearing it again. Well, unless I greet the Husband with a martini wearing the dress with perfectly coiffed hair sprayed with Aquanet when he comes home from work and make him put on a tux for dinner and our (non-existent) children call him Papa and we all break out into song and dance and then the butler rings a bell for dinner and we all laugh heartily and step into the dining room where our dinner is waiting... Otherwise, I have no use for the dress. And there is just so much tulle on that dress and I'd like to use that tulle for good rather than for evil. That'll be another project. But for now, I have a new project with the "base" of the dress.

Remember the little (size Large) black dress "before" picture? Yeah. That's the base. I gently detached the stuff I had sewed on (read: bad stitching, easy to remove) last night. I'm aiming to make a Carrie Bradshaw inspired dress in size Large. It'll have blue tulle and some peacock feathers and by golly I will be wearing it in Paris.. I don't care if I will be overdressed at MacDonalds. This is Paris. I will triumph (Get it? Arc de Triomphe?) Der Sigh.

I hope to have it finished by the weekend. I will be also Russianing up the apartment on Sunday so there'll be a bit of conflict with my time. I will triumph. Bahahahaha.
