Party Planning

OMG! OMG! OMG! I'm going to Paris! SQUEAL!!! Yesterday was a great birthday. (Commence jumping and hand clapping). I met a friend for a little vino and a little conversation and then met the Husband at a restaurant that I have fallen madly, truly, deeply in love with. I had the tagliatelle with truffles and I was in love. It's the second time I have eaten there but by far it is some of the best food I have ever had.. Drool.. The Husband gave me a charm for my bracelet, a jewellery box and a trip to Paris! MAIS OUI! TRES BIEN! VIVE LA FRANCE! It will be the 4th time I've gone but this will be the first time with the Husband.. I AM UNABLE TO STOP SMILING.. I NEED TO START PACKING LIKE NOW!

Anyway, my birthday rocked. On a sad note though, Alexander McQueen passed away yesterday. It's a shock and has sent waves of sadness throughout the fashion industry. This week is New York fashion week and I have no doubt that last night was an evening of mourning. Google his name and check out his fashion. He was truly a genius in every sense of the word and his legacy will hopefully live on. Rest in peace Alexander McQueen. You will be missed.

Tomorrow is the Toga party and there is still so much to do. A majority of the crepe paper I put up has fallen down (I blamed the Husband in a moment of frustration. I love you pumpkin pie. I know you didn't pull it down. Kisses) so that will take up some time tonight. Unfortunately I have an appointment this afternoon so I won't get to the stuff until about 5 or 6 tonight. I will work on the moussaka, salad dressing and macaroni tonight and hopefully tomorrow I can sleep in until 7 am.

The night before the party is always important to me. I scrub the place down, I plan the dishes and I do a ton of prep work. I need to shave too. That's important too.

Happy Friday! I'M GOING TO FREAKING PARIS!!! HOLLA!!!
