Christmas and Crafts

It's Friday! TGIF! Seriously, I'm done, put a fork in me. What I thought would be a calm week at work turned into a hellish week once again.. bah! So, today's post will be a mixture of pictures of Christmas and crafts. Oh boy!

I made these stockings about 3 years ago. They were quite easy to make once I started. All I needed was thread, a needle, material and fake fur.. And scissors but whatever. Oh, and material glue. To start, make a template by drawing a stocking outline. I taped 4 pieces of A4 paper together and drew a stocking. I used it to trace on the material. One side of the stocking is black and the other is printed that you can see in the picture below. I turned the material inside out and hand sewed the two pieces together- leaving the top of the stocking open (stuff needs to go in. My stocking has told me that it prefers Tiffany's.. just throwing that out there). Once you have sewed the pieces together, and pulled it outside out (not inside out) glue faux fur around the top. You're done. You're laughing.

Here is a picture of our living room/ dining room/ kitchen with Christmas stuff. See the dining room table? Yeah, that's vintage Ikea man. That's like from the 70's. How cool is that? It used to be shiny blue but I was like "no man. no." About 2 and a half years ago I decided to refurbish that table and its minions of chairs. I bought a sander and went to work. After sanding everything down I had blue snot. It was pretty amazing. I bought dark brown acrylic paint and painted the tables and chairs. Once dry I added gold paint. Voila!

Here's the wraparound scarf I finished crocheting the other week. It wraps around 3 times. I'm wearing it today and it has lip gloss stains on it. It's cold outside.

And here is one of the 3 pompous ass reindeers I bought. Look at that attitude. You were 1 Euro buddy! I own you!
