Blah Blah

I have a cold. I don't understand why or how as I haven't hung out with any sick people in the last few days and if I have and no one told me then I will hunt you down! I will go to work today and tomorrow but then I have some days off so I can sit on the sofa and whine and dream about Matzoh Ball soup.

I started on the St.Basil's model yesterday. One of the things looks like a bowling pin but with a little love and a little patience it will look like a bowling pin version of St. Basil's. I also found a couple of Paleh boxes from Moscow that I own so I'm pretty stoked. Da. Paleh boxes are typical Russian painted boxes. They are usually black with a fairty tale scene painted on top. The Husband was looking at some Russian fairy tale scenes that I had printed out and he was a little perturbed. "That's scary. I'm perturbed." to paraphase him.

The Golden Globes were last night and I can't wait until I get to see the dresses. I could care less about award shows but live for the dresses. I'll never forget Björk's swan dress from the Oscars.
"A friend made me this." was her answer to "Who are you weaaaaring?". I thought that was cute. Come on, did we really expect to see Björk wear Valentino? Pshaw. When I was a teenager I used to dream about what dress I would wear to an awards show. I would pour over history of fashion books and photocopy pictures and or drawings of dresses that I thought were amazing. I'm pretty happy I never got nominated for anything at the age of 13 as I'm pretty sure I would have worn a Gone With the Wind replica and that would have been bad. Also, I can't act so I'm pretty sure I would have been nominated for something like, best friend of major star who was brought as the star's date because the star only felt pity for her. Awesome.

Speaking of dresses, I'm not sure this whole fitting into the wedding dress thing is happening so I might have to spend my days off searching for a new dress. Last time I went to the ball I bought a dress for about 29 Euros. It was full length, spaghetti strap red "silk". I liked it. I mean, I liked the one that I tried on in the dressing room. Then the woman in the store assured me that the one hanging in the window was the same size and that I should take that one instead of the one I tried on as the one I tried on was stained. So I did and Hello Titty City! Yup. What I learned? Try on the dress! So now the search begins for a dress that is maximum 50 Euros. I can do it! Piece of cake. I'm so screwed.

Happy Monday and wish me luck that I beat this cold ASAP!
