Books!

Yay! My Amazon order came today. I skipped all the way down the hallway at work with my big box o' fun! My parents bought me an Amazon gift certificate and I decided to go a little mad. This is what I got:

The Goddess Guide- what?! It's filled with pictures and fashion tips and it's fun.
The Little Black Book of Style- Nina Garcia "wrote" this. She also helped Rachel Zoe create her book. I have that book. I like that book. I feel poor and fat after reading that book.
Vogue Sewing- this is a biiig book. And a complicated book. I might have the Husband read it for me and help me sew.
The Golden Age of Couture Paris and London 1947-57- Hell yes! I am so excited to crack that baby open and whine "I WAAAAAANNNNTT ITTT!"
The September Issue- the documentary about Anna Wintour. She be amazing.

It's going to be a great weekend with these bad boys I tell you what. I love coffee table books. I keep them by the sofa and pick them up once in a while to reread on a cold day. There's nothing quite like sitting on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket, drinking Schlitz and reading a great book. Happy sigh.

For Christmas I got the Martha Stewart Halloween book from my friend Alix and from my friend Tony, How to be the Perfect Housewife. Is that a challenge Tony? Is it? It's on!! I have the Amy Sedaris I Like You book that sends me into spasms of hilarity everytime. I enjoy rereading French Woman Don't Get Fat because it's like she's telling me it's ok to drink a lot of my favourite Champagne (not really but whatever). Apropos Champagne, I looove Veuve Clicquot.

Reading is fun. The Husband reads the TV guide in bed. It's quite amusing. He even brought it on holiday with him to point out what we could have been watching had we stayed at home. I love that guy!
