Oh Boy! Oh Boy!

What have you been up to this weekend Tova?
Oh, nothing much, just making a truly awesome ball dress... Holla!!

I am psyched by how the dress has turned out. It needs just a couple more alterations and then it is done. It's pretty funky and I have learned that I love tulle. Just stick some tulle on and you're ready to go. Awesome. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. The hard part is starving myself until Saturday so I can zip it up all the way. Sigh. The best part of this whole project is the price. Including the "base" dress and the material, the total cost came out to 34 Euros. I was originally looking to spend a maximum of 50 Euros so I win and now I can go by fake eyelashes with the rest of the budget. My life rocks!

This weekend I also got started on a small project with shoes which I will post pictures of at a later date.. But, much to my dismay, the dude at the shop gave me two left shoes. Gah! Anger. I will go tomorrow and demand a right shoe. Yes I can.

I also made a tunic thing that I wore out last night. I had bought some leftover material for about 3 Euros. It's gauzey/sheathy ethnic hippie material and it was about 1 by 1.5 meters. I just folded it in half and cut out a v-neck for the head to fit through and voila- a tunic. I love it.

Today I am making my toga. It's a sexay toga and it's my birthday party and I can be slutty if I want to. Yeah. It's going to be pretty cool if I do say so myself.

I was going to wear my sequin hat that I made to the ball but I have changed up my mind. I am going to make a fascinator and rock that instead. It's been a productive weekend which makes me happy and all contented like. This afternoon I will work on my Greek masks and hopefully be able to spray paint them tomorrow night.
