Projects in the Works

Do you hear what I hear? It's September 1st! Oh boy oh boy! I freaking love this time of year. It's all about the fall accessories and boots and clothes that cover my Shamu like figure. Rock on! The summer has been a disaster for my summer loving friends but for me, it's been heaven. My elephant feet are looking a little more ankely and my make up is not sweating off, WIN! In honor of September 1st I switched wreaths on the door.. Tonight when the Husband gets home he will sigh and say "Dear, I can't see through the peep hole" and I will respond "Feck off, I'm pregnant."

Apropos Husband, he's been great. Every sentence now begins with "Don't take this the wrong way..." as he removes anything sharp within my reach. He's a saint. We went to a baby store on the weekend and left after hordes (3) of screaming children came in. We are going to be awful parents. To make ourselves feel better, we bought the spawn a baby Benetton t-shirt. We are going to be awful parents- to a very well dressed child.

But enough of this child talk! Let's talk about the wreath I put up. See picture.

Ooooh aahhh.. It was pretty simple to make.. I made it about 3 years ago.. Take a styrofoam circle, paint it gold. Take fake leaves in pretty pretty autumn colours and pin onto the wreath. Then get a string of those puffy orange fall things (don't know the name and don't really care) and pin those on. There, a wreath. I have a lot to do today but I think I might take a nap while watching Law and Order, I'm awesome that way. Stay tuned for other things I've been working on and a zany post about The Gremlins.

Happy September 1st!
