A Passion for Fashion

The Husband has headed to work today for the first time. He's been a supastar and most likely will be the better parent. It is gawgeous outside and this afternoon I will head out with the kid for some grocery shopping and to buy skin firming cream. I'm a sucker for advertising.

One of my fave films is on tv right now- Undercover Blues. I think I have mentioned it before but it is such a ridiculous film but I heart it.. Dennis Quaid and Kathleen Turner aaaaannd an unrecognisable Stanley Tucci (Morty). It also takes place in New Orleans that I am desperate to visit and which maybe in a year or two I can convince the Husband..

Since yesterday was warm and sunny, we headed out to the center and took a walk.. There is a scary trend that I am seeing re-surge.. The horrid two tone dye job. Eu. Bleach blonde and black.. There are variations- underneath bleach blonde and black on top. Blonde on top with black underneath. Black hair with bleach blonde chunk a la Pepe le Pu. Front half blonde back half black. It is NOT a good look. I don't mind two toned hair when it is more subtle.. I like the sun bleached ends and warm brown crown. It doesn't have to look natural but it shouldn't be bleach blonde and black. I'm sorry. I'm curious how this came into fashion.

But maybe I am not one to talk as I haven't had my hair done in months (this is torture for someone who changes her hair colour all.the.time). I'm aiming for a change in about a month or so.. stay tuned.
