Cheap and Easy Homemade Runner

I like runners.. They are like the mini skirts of the tablecloth family.. but flattering. I decided to make one and cut down on costs. All you need is a rectangular piece of material (I had left over material that I used for the curtains and some ribbon and well, a sewing machine. Line up the ribbon to the edge and just sew a straight line. Ta Da! Done.. It bunched up a little but I don't care. It is pretty and sparkly.

And this here below is this year's Christmas centerpiece. It is woodsy. Woodsy like if Liberace had gotten lost in a forest with a can full of glitter..
