I have a cold sore. Awesome. I'm going to ask coworkers if I can borrow their chapstick. Let's see their reactions. Sigh. I didn't get a chance to write yesterday because someone made the day go by at mega light speed times two. I'm on my lunch break now so yay. Here is a simple crowd pleasing recipe that is easy and cheap to make. I don't eat this myself because tomatoes that have not been sacrified and pulped and put on pasta or pizza are the debil.
Baked Tomatoes
As many tomatoes as you desire sliced in half
Fresh garlic
Some breadcrumbs
Italian seasoning (fresh basil would be ideal)
Butta (butter)
salt and peppa for taste (let's talk about you and me)
Preheat the oven to about 180 and place your tomatoes on a baking sheet. Add the butter (a couple of teaspoons), the seasonings, the garlic (pressed) and bread crumbs and stick them in the oven. Let the breadcrumbs brown. Serve hot. It's super easy and you can play around with the ingredients. Adding grated cheese is another option. I like serving these as they add a lot of colour to the spread.
I like having different colours for dishes. It makes the food look more enticing. Next time you are serving dinner, take a quick look at your colour choice and see if you have at least 2 different colours. It's easy to add a green salad, or tomatoes, or even jello. J-E-L-L-O!
I'm leaving at a normal time today, for once, and I am reintroducing my ass to the sofa where I will be working on my Russian hat. 'Member how I mentioned the Russian Baby Shower? Yup, making a Soviet hat with faux fur and love. Pics to follow. Now leave me alone.
Bon Apetit!
