Projects in the Works

It was a very productive weekend and I got a lot done. As promised last week, I will be posting more and today I will talk about a shirt I made. All by myself. I haven't made the Thai food yet but last night I made a lasange with bechamel, fresh mozarella and homemade noodles. I used my pasta maker for like the 6th time ever. Awesome. The noodles were pretty easy to make and only involved eggs and flour. This dish wasn't light though.. Probably not a great idea during this heat wave. But I like to think I sweat the food out.. right.

On to the shirt! I have a horrible addiction of going to the fabric store here. It is pricey and I always end up just buying the end pieces of material for a discount. I kid you not, I have about 40 "sheets" of material waiting to be made into something awesome. I need help, or I need to get a move on and make more. Coming up, baby ascots for every occasion!

This shirt was pretty easy and took about an hour to complete. Take a piece of material, cut into desired shape (I went for a diagonal neckline for the one shoulder look) Sew at the shoulder, sew on the "lower" side, hem and keep the "higher" shoulder side open. I will fasten it with a brooch since my size keep changing.. Weren't my instructions so detailed? Go forth and create! Sew, my pretties!

Happy Tuesday!
