What's For Dinner?

I had a great visit from the parental units last weekend and they brought us a grill. I had purchased a cheap electric grill a few weeks earlier and was super happy about it and then when I saw our new electric grill, I realised the cheap little grill would have to go. This thing is great. It looks like a Weber and is on a stand and is big. I love it. And therefore I have spent almost every night this week bbq'ing. Since I am a novice griller, I decided to start with something simple.. like ribs.

I spent a day (45 minutes or so) looking up marinade recipes and I got frustrated at the too many choices and then decided to make my own with various ingredients found on the 5 million differente rib marinade sites. So here goes:

1 cup pureed tomatoes (buy the box. It's simpler)
1/4 cup apple vinegar
2-3 tsp chili powder
1/4 water
2 crushed garlic gloves
1 onion chopped
Dash of Worshetereitehe sauce
3 tbsp sweetener or sugar
Salt and peppa

Marinate the ribs for about 9 hours. Remove from sauce and place on grill. Take the rest of marinade and place in a pot. Cook at medium until the sauce thickens- use this sauce for basting. The ribs took about an hour to cook and were finger licking goood.

I have a couple more recipes coming up and some projects.. I just need to get on that stat!

Happy Friday!
