Clothing For Kids

I was on a summer hiatus.. sue me. No, actually, I've been busy with everything from writing, to weddings, and a shower and a bachelorette party and writing and sewing and Halloween.. And of course, most importantly, raising my specially gifted brilliant son because I am going to be the best goshdarn mother ever.. ahahahaha..Anyway, I have quite a few things saved up for the next few weeks and I'm all excited and stuff to show and tell.

We have a son. I will most likely not have another child so we will not have a daughter. But that doesn't stop me from making something for the little ladies. I present to you, the baby Breakfast at Tiffany's dress;
It's made from jersey and has a sewed on (felt) pearl necklace. It's stretchy for comfort.

How to make it

Take some jersey, outline your dress, cut out two of the same pieces and sew together. Leave gaps for the arm holes. You can seam the bottom if you like. That's the dress.

Then take some felt balls, found in most craft sections of Müller! Yay, Müller!And sew them on individually in a neckplace pattern!

            Make sure that you sew them on very well to avoid them falling off and causing choking.
And there you have it! A simple and quick baby dress, so sophisticated! So elegant!
