Living room makeover

It is finally done! My mother was in town and helped me pull this all together and for 3 days we ignored my husband and child and git er done. She sewed pillows and I painted.. It was grueling. Our living room was red and orange and brown and bright and happy but the colours were starting to grate on me. I wanted something warm and neutral and I wanted the tv to finally be at eye height.. Over the last few weeks I have been collecting material and ideas and tada now a before and after..

 With the before pic, our place never looked soooo bad, it was just right after the Halloween party and I hadn't put up the curtain or the painting and the rug was missing.. But you get an idea of the colour scheme.. Aaaand now!

Thanks to Tanya and Chris for the cream material- they made perfect curtains! All in all I am super happy with it all and I feel like it is more tranquil and me.. yay! Decorating is hard work but fun! Thanks to my mom for all the support and advice.. Now I don't want to leave my home, ever..
